On Sunday 24 December, Saint Francis Convent - Tripoli Celebrated the Christmas Mass By Father Dr. Quirico Calella OFM. attended by a group of faithful where they received the king of Glory Jesus.
Everyone went after Mass to cut the Christmas cake.
Father Quirico and Father Pierre kept the staff, their families and guests in the monastery as well as the Sisters coming from Adonis at dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful and filled with joy and happiness for the birth of the child Jesus.

27 April - Feast of the Franciscan Martyrs in Tripoli

04 October - Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi in Tripoli Marina (El Mina)

Saint Francis, who founded the Catholic Church’s Franciscan Orders, lived in Italy during the late 12th and beginning of13th centuries (1182-1226). He is remembered for his poverty, generosity to the poor’s and for his love to the animals and nature.  St Francis died at Portiuncula Santa Maria deli Angela, Assisi, Italy on October 4, 1226.Pope Gregory IX declared St Francis a Saint in 1228. The feast of St. Francis was celebrated yesterday at our Convent with a Solemn Holy Mass presided by Father. Quirico Calella ofm with a big participation of believers from Tripoli el Mina, Beyrouth and Adonis.

​This week many Franciscan Friars from Saint Paul Region(Lebanon,Jordan and Syria) participated to a Spiritual Exercises course in Adonis directed by Father. Paolo Maiello.
The pictures about the Canticle of the Creatures, painted by the Italian painter Marco Giubilei, were exposed for the first time there.
The Franciscan spent also a few hours going for a Pilgrimage to the tomb of Saint Charbel in Annaya.​

Saturday 28 October Mark , a baby of a few months old wore the Habit of St. Anthony of Padova in our Church with the blessing of our Director Father Dr. Quirico Calella, OFM.
The usage of this pious devotion to St.Anthony is known all over the world including Lebanon even where the Franciscans are absent.

N.B. In our Church are available Habits of all sizes for children.

On Sunday 26 of November, the second reunion of Philippines from Tripoli ,El Mina and the suburbs was made in our Convent of Saint Francis (That is located as you know at round about GRUPPI El-Mina).
All were surprised because they found already the Christmas tree decorated.
The Mass was celebrated by Father Dr. Quirico Calella OFM. in a joyful atmosphere.
Next meeting will be on the tenth of December.

The children of the Hebrews,carrying olive branches, went to meet the LORD, crying out and saying:

Sunday 25 of March 2018 at Saint Francis Church -Gruppi- Tripoli El-Mina were celebrated the Palm Sunday's ceremonies with the participation of the Philippines Community coming from Tripoli and suburbs.

“Almighty, eternal, just and merciful God, give us miserable once the grace to do for You alone what we know, you want us to do and always to desire what pleases you.
Inwardly cleansed, interiorly enlightened and inflamed by the fire of the Holy Spirit, may we be able to follow in the footprints of your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by your grace slone, may we make our way to you, Most High, who live and rule in perfect Trinity and simple Unity, and are glorified God almighty, forever and ever. Amen.”
Happy Easter ....

A first reunion of a big number of Philippines was made today in our Saint Francis Convent . 
They came from Tripoli , El Mina and villages around and also a delegation from Beyrouth.
After a warm welcome from our Superior Father Quirico Calella and from Brother Pierre Risha, all entered in the Church for the Holy Mass.
The Mass was concelebrated by Father Henry Ponce SJ.,Father Elie Daw and Father Quirico Calella ofm.
After a little tour and many pictures the group went to the center of Tripoli for lunch and so returned back home.
